The private trip area helps travelers and the organizer manage this journey.

Information we use

Google sign-in provides a stable account identifier, your email and your name to identify you and link an authorized trip record. Any verified Google account may register. Sign-in requests only basic identity information; it does not request access to your Gmail or Google Drive.

You can enter contact and emergency details, dietary and accessibility needs, room preferences and flight details. The organizer can maintain participation, room plans, payment evidence and planning notes. Please enter only information needed for the trip, and leave passport numbers, booking references and card details out of free-text notes.

Who can see it

Travelers can access their own private records. Rabbi Daniel, the trip owner, can access the trip’s private records. He may name other trip leaders as organizers; they can run the schedule, rooms, registration and preparation, but payment records, exports and assistant connections stay with the owner. A parent or other adult the organizer links to your household can fill in registration, flights and preparation for household members, and those changes are recorded under the adult’s name. Shared trip content requires sign-in; it does not disclose other travelers’ private flight details or payment records. An assistant connection approved by the owner can access records within its granted permissions.

The traveler roster

Confirmed travelers can see a roster of fellow confirmed travelers: name, home city, which programs they are on, an optional photo, phone, WhatsApp number and email, and whether they share your flight. Contact details are shared unless you turn sharing off in registration or My details; your name and programs still appear. Children’s phone numbers and photos are never shown; the roster says to contact their parent instead. Travelers who withdraw do not appear. The roster is never saved for offline use.

WhatsApp

The trip uses WhatsApp groups for news. This site does not send messages: WhatsApp links only open WhatsApp on your phone with a message you can review and send yourself.

Storage and use

The website runs on Vercel and stores private records in a dedicated Turso database. These providers process information to operate the service and may retain operational logs. The organizer can download private exports. The site does not use your Google identity information for advertising or sell it.

Corrections and retention

You can correct your profile and flight details in your account. Participation confirmations and room assignments are managed by the organizer. To ask about access, correction or removal of private information, email Rabbi Daniel at daniel@centralreform.org.

After the journey, the owner closes the trip. He first downloads a private copy of the records; then every sign-in and assistant connection ends, and emergency contacts, dietary and access needs, payment evidence, notes, roster photos and the change history are permanently deleted from the site. Names, the itinerary and flights remain as a reference.
